1:24 1974 Ford XB Falcon Sedan - MFP Big Bopper

For the very first time in history, DDA Collectibles have produced the "Big Bopper" Ford XB Falcon in a detailed 1:24 scale model car.

The 1974 Ford Falcon XB Sedan, call sign “Big Bopper,” is one of the MFP pursuit cars in the dystopian future of Mad Max. Driven by Roop and Charlie, it’s best remembered for taking heavy punishment and somehow keeping going.

The Big Bopper first appears parked roadside, with Charlie in the passenger seat while Roop spies on a couple in a nearby field through his rifle scope. After receiving a call from Sarse and Scuttle, the unit launches into the chase after the Nightrider. Its first attempt nearly ends in disaster when it slides sideways into a signpost, ripping off the bonnet. The official novelisation notes that Roop’s shotgun blast didn’t completely miss—some pellets reached the Monaro’s engine.

The pursuit continues as the Big Bopper slams into a Mazda Bongo van at around 140 km/h, then ploughs through a caravan at roughly 130 km/h before the car finally gives out. Roop radios in that they're “outta the game” and requests a meat truck and ambulance for the severely injured Charlie.
